What is Paleo?

Paleo is a way of eating that aims to reflect that of our primal ancestors.

It involves elimination of processed foods, sugar, grains, dairy and legume. While allowing freedom in animal protein, vegetables, fruit, healthy fats, nuts and seeds. If you would like to do some reading for yourself, I recommend you look into the following. I can’t stress enough that you need to research and experiment for yourself to find out what is best for your body.

Life in a Bakery captures my experience of changing the way I eat in order to gain better health. Through eating according to the Paleo guidelines I have found greater freedom and enjoyment in food, in which it no longer feels like restriction. Over time my cravings have diminished, sleep and energy have improved and my body feels as though it is being fuelled appropriately.

Freedom has been found particularly the case with the shift for being skinny to being healthy has occurred in my head. No more scales, no more calorie counting, just intuitively eating in response to my body.
