Yesterday we purchased more protein powder. We have been using it on our trip mainly for breakfast, or sometimes as a snack. This time I opted for something a little different. I went with a hemp protein, which is a plant based protein. I did a little reading and found out it is one of the most digestible sources of protein, is also an excellent source of amino acids, contains a great balance of the essential fatty acids omega 3 & 6, and contains important minerals like magnesium, iron and manganese.
It tastes a little different, makes my overnight oats a little green, and doesn’t mix quite like whey, but I am enjoying it non the less! 🙂
